Why Jhudora?
Another impulsive Neopets cosplay, I was compelled to make this when I found the perfect magenta wig on ebay from Cosplay-Wigs (RIP because they're no longer in operation), however it ironically was super matchy-matchy with my warm purple fabric. If I were to remake it, I would try to get a cooler toned purple fabric.
It was pretty fun getting to be a dark faerie! I hope to do another dark faerie in the future, but not sure which one- there are so many good ones to pick from! Darkest Faerie, The Drenched, Delina, Ilere, and so on! In the meantime, I now have one dark, one air, one water (and another water faerie in progress), so now I need to do a fire, light, and earth faerie I guess! ;3

About This Costume
Once again, all patterned by me, I realize now that if I make this dress again, I'd like to make the batwing sleevves and dress flare far more dramatic. I'll also pattern the wings to be bigger, however, I purposefully make them small in this case because I was going to wear it out at Halloween, and wanted something easier to handle.
Despite the scaled down wing size, I still nearly poked out my friend's eyes, so next time I make this, I will be making it more similarly to how I did my Taelia wings! The wire frame was also tearing through the fabric cover, so I would advise to be careful of doing any wing frames with points! The wings slide into the same waist cincher that I used for Space Faerie.
The green and purple materials are holographic spandex from Spandex House, and the plain green is spandex from Joann. I got the glass cabochon for the choker from Etsy and used scrapbooking glue to adhere green fabric to the back of it!
Why Jhudora?
I was invited to do a Neopets swimsuit group for ColossalCon 2014, and since I had enough scraps leftover from my Jhudora dress to make a suit, I decided why the heck not, let's do it! So out came this rather comical but fun costume! And yes, spandex is very water friendly, so I can actually swim in it! In fact, I spent a good amount of time under the water with it, haha!

About This Costume
Being that the swimsuit was made from dress scraps, I was pretty limited in what I could design. Luckily, this very basic silhouette was no issue for the pieces that I had on hand! Luckily the small wings I made from Halloween were perfect for this suit, as they weren't at all too heavy to be supported by a small pocket on the back, since I opted to not wear the waist cincher at the pool, haha.
This costume is also now retired, since parts of it were used for Starfire. Wish I had gotten more photos in it, but oh well- would be a real breeze to remake it any time!
